Following the initial information gathering consultation ending in December 2017 the Local Government Boundary Commission for England has draft ward recommendations for Dartford Borough Council.
The draft consultation includes:
The total number of councillors elected to the council in the future
The number of wards
The number of councillors representing each ward
Names of wards
The public consultation started on Tuesday 30th January 2018, during which the Commission is inviting comments on the proposed arrangements. The consultation will close on Monday 9th April 2018.
Final recommendations are expected to be published in June 2018 and the new electoral arrangements will come into effect at the local elections in 2019.
The Commission welcome views from individuals and organisations across the borough on whether the proposed boundaries are correct.
