The Pavilion Project – Have Your Say

The Town Council have been investigating the feasibility of building a new Community Hub on the site of the current Pavilion Community Sports & Social Club and are now in a position to share what we believe are exciting designs with you.

The layout has been finalised using the feedback we received from residents during the Community Buildings Consultation, which ran at the end of 2021, and the aim of the new hub will be to provide a multi-use facility that not only caters for the users of Broomfield Park, but also provides space, facilities and opportunities for events and activities for the communities within our Town.

The purpose built hub will provide a venue to eat and drink whilst enjoying the vista and events in the park and you will see that the design incorporates a large hall that can cater for occasions such as weddings and will also be available to host gigs and shows etc.

The design brief and cost analysis for the building have been undertaken with the aim that the facility will be self funding and not create any additional burden to residents through their Council Tax both during the build process and also when in operation.
