To try to assist the many residents that do fantastic voluntary work and take great pride in our Town the Town Council have successfully secured funding via the Kent County Council Members Grant Scheme (thank you KCC Member for Swanscombe & Greenhithe, Peter Harman) that has gone towards the purchase of litter pickers and refuse bags that can used by any local groups that are undertaking community litter picks within the Swanscombe and Greenhithe area (we are also in the process of getting volunteer tabards).
Obviously the amount of litter pickers and bags are limited but we wanted to do something to help so if you or your group would like to borrow any of the equipment it’s really easy….your request must be made via a Town Councillor and the equipment must be collected and returned, by a designated person, during our office hours.
