Openreach – Temporary Road Closure – Leonard Avenue, Swanscombe – 12 January 2026 for 2 days between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs 

The road will be closed outside number 35.

The alternative route is via Leonard Avenue, Durrant Way, Manor Road, Brenda Terrace, Betsham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while works are undertaken by Openreach.

Kent County Council – Urgent Road Closure – Milton Street, Swanscombe – 1 December 2025 

It will be necessary to close Milton Street, Swanscombe from 1 December 2025 for up to 2 days.

The road will be closed Between 74A and 74B.

The alternative route is via Milton Street, Ames Road, Lewis Road, Trebble Road and Alamein Road.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 08:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs each day.

This is to enable carriageway and footway investigation works to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Kent County Council – Urgent Road Closure – B259 Stanhope Road, Swanscombe – 28 November 2025 (Dartford)

It will be necessary to close B259 Stanhope Road, Swanscombe from 28th November 2025 for up to 1 day.

The road will be closed between Milton Road and Swanscombe Street.

The alternative route is via Milton Road, Church Road, Swanscombe Street.

This is to enable Drainage Cleansing to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Temporary Road Closures – VARIOUS ROADS, DARTFORD – from 10 November 2025

Due to National Highways works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic as per the below: 

A296 Princes Road – Between A282 J1b Roundabout and B2500 Watling Street

Closed between 10/11/2025 and 24/11/2025 – Nights only between 22:00hrs and 05.30hrs

East Side Diversion –

A296 Westbound Diversion

A296 Watling Street, B255 Bean Lane, A2 Westbound to Darenth Interchange

Junc 1b Roundabout Diversion

A282 Canterbury Way, Junc 1a, A206 Crossways Boulevard, A206 St Clements Way, B255 Bean Road, B255 Bean Lane, A296 Watling Street

Traffic on the A282 South will divert via the A282 to the M25 J2 and then either via the A2 West to the Dartford Heath Junction to the A2018 Shepherds Lane to the B2174 Princes Road Continuing on the B2235 Princes Road to the Junction of Park Road where the diversion will end
