Temporary Road Closure – A226 Galley Hill Road, Swanscombe – 24th May 2023 for 18 months
Due to the likely danger to the public following damage to the road surface caused by a landslip, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic and pedestrian access on part of A226 Galley Hill Road, Swanscombe under Section14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

- A226 London Road, Swanscombe – From the junction of Manor Way through to the B259 High Street, Swanscombe for a distance of 630 metres and vice versa.
- B259 High Street, Swanscombe – From the junction of the A226 London Road, Swanscombe through to the B259 Stanhope Road for a distance of 360 metres and vice versa.
- B259 Stanhope Road, Swanscombe – From the junction of the B259 High Street, Swanscombe through to Swanscombe Street for a distance of 570 metres and vice versa.
- Craylands Lane, Swanscombe – From the junction of the A226 London Road, Swanscombe through to the junction of Craylands Square for a distance of 210 metres and vice versa.
EXTENDED UNTIL 15 SEPTEMBER 2024
Temporary Road Closure – Bean Road, Greenhithe – 24th June 2024 to 30th August 2024 between 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs
The road will be closed between B255 St Clements Way and Mounts Road.
The alternative route is via Mounts Road, B255 St Clements Way and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footpath widening and improvement works are undertaken by Kent.

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath DS20 between Betsham Road and Southfleet Road from the 12 August 2024
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 31 October 2024
The path is closed because works are planned on or near it.
The alternative route is via Leonard Avenue and Whitecliffe Road and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Knockhall Chase will be closed between the junctions of Eynsford Road and Park Terrace. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Knockhall Road, Mounts Road, A226 London Road and vice versa.
Eynsford Road will be closed at the junction with Knockhall Chase. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Knockhall Chase, Knockhall Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing gas works to be carried out, works are undertaken by SGN.

EXTENDED TO 13 SEPTEMBER 2024
Emergency Speed Limit Reduction – SOUTHFLEET ROAD, SWANSCOMBE – 20 August 2024
Kent County Council gives notice that for the safety of the public and workforce during roadworks, a temporary mandatory speed limit of 30 MPH will be imposed on a section of Southfleet Road, Swanscombe.
The 30 MPH applies in both directions on Southfleet Road, Swanscombe Between the junctions of Ackers Drive and the A2260 Ebbsfleet Gateway, to the extent indicated by signage clearly displayed on site.
This takes effect on 20 August 2024 for up to 21 days. The restrictions will be lifted as soon as works are completed and it is safe to do so.
The restrictions have been introduced for the safety of the public and workforce whilst repair works are to be carried out by UKPN.
This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for a period of no more than 21 days.
